MOBB in Sao Paolo
David Moran’s 2010 documentary “The Marquis of Bnei Brak” will make its Brazilian premier in Sao Paolo’s “PopPorn” festival, which is dedicated to films & art about all forms sexuality.
The film will screen Sunday, June 3rd, in the festival’s venue at 14:35.

“Eidetic” – Development update #1
“Cinemoran Productions” is proud to announce that “Eidetic” will be writer/director David Moran’s first feature film.
“Eidetic” is a psychological thriller about a successful New York therapist who’s called back to Paris to visit his dying, rich businessman father. During this visit to the city of lights, his wife, a young author, starts to discover dark secrets about her husband’s relationship with his father and his French ex-girlfriend. As these discoveries become more and more disturbing, her own dark secret threatens to surface.
“Eidetic” is produced by Jacob Koren of “Event One Entertainment” in California. The project is now nearing end of development and the production already started to cast an international ensemble of American and European film stars.

David Moran directed this new video for one of Israel’s most established and popular female rock stars Ronit Shahar. This song is the first single of her new and much expected album.

“The Roman Empire” premieres on Israeli TV
David Moran’s documentary, “The Roman Empire”, will premiere on Israeli public TV channel 98 on December 7th.
The 75 minute doc. follows the life of Jewish Russian immigrant Roman Kahir, as he struggles with everyday life and poverty in the city of Beer Sheva, Israel.
“The Roman Empire” was the first documentary produced and directed by David Moran in 2009. 2 months after shooting of “The Roman Empire” completed, Moran began work on the “Marquis of Bnei Brak”. Both docs. had their world premiere in the Tel Aviv Cinematheque on January of this year.
David Moran joins development of new WWII movie
David Moran joined the board of writers working on a new WWII movie being developed by Australian production company Presence Films.
The movie, “Black Cat”, which is in early development, tells the story of a battle between 2 master air force pilots, one American, the other Japanese, in the Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia), during the Japanese occupation of DEI in 1942. Since the project is in early development, no more plot details can be revealed at this stage.
More details will be coming soon.
“Hiltz” to sell “The Marquis of Bnei Brak”
Canadian distribution and sales company “Hiltz Squared Media Group” has signed on with producer/director David Moran to sell his documentary “The Marquis of Bnei Brak”. “Hiltz” will handle the film’s international sales with an exclusive period of one year and an optional 2 more years.
This is the first international sales deal for director David Moran since starting his production house of ”Cinemaoran Productions” in June 2009, and after completion of his first 2 documentary features.
This would also mark the first Israeli film for the Canadian sales company.
